Path of light

Bright green drips hang down the canvas like curtains of moss or willow, layered over a rust-red underpainting. A broad diagonal beam of pale light slants in from the upper right, softening the greens it crosses. In the lower left, deep blue and teal pool into the shape of a stream, giving the dense textured foliage a cool, shadowed base.
