Evasion

The square canvas is divided into two unequal panels. On the left, vertical drags of violet, blue, lime green and coral pull downward like a veil of rain; on the right, a narrower panel of horizontal grey-green, lilac and turquoise bands suggests a calm horizon. Scraped, dragged paint gives both sides a weathered, softly luminous surface.
